Raise your hand if you love granola! I’m a devoted fan and I have to tell you I’ve made many a granola recipe. And I know. I know. It’s definitely NOT fall and I’m making quintessential fall foods over here. I just can’t help what I’m craving! I can’t be the only one who craves chili and lasagna in the summer, right? Besides, this is the perfect topping to a cooling smoothie bowl or some yogurt, so it’s totally justifiable.
The base recipe I used here is so versatile. Oats combine with your choice of nuts/seeds, seasonings and spices, oil and liquid sweetener of choice (I used coconut oil and honey for this batch), and other add-ins (coconut, dried fruit, cacao powder, you name it!) and that’s all there is to it. Think: chocolate-cherry. Mocha-maple-almond. Spicy Cajun. CRANBERRY-ORANGE. Mmm…
In this batch, sweet, dried cranberries combine with fresh orange zest and warming cinnamon to create a fresh, yet comforting granola. Pair it with smoothies, layer it in a parfait, or snack on it plain, because it’s just that good.
Did I mention this recipe makes a ton? Give some to your friends. Or your hungry boyfriend. Or my hungry boyfriend. I’m sure he’ll take it.
Clearly overflowing with goodness. Get your baking pans out, people!
